DESIGNERS’ OPEN 08 on the end of October

November 6th, 2008 by Press release

DESIGNERS’ OPEN 08 /// LEIPZIG . GERMANY <<<
THE FESTIVAL FOR DESIGN OCT 24TH – OCT 26TH 2008 <<<

Design has come…four days of supreme quality design.
At this year’s Designers’Open 2008, one hundred and fifty national and international designers presented fresh design goods of all kinds. Not only the amount of exhibitors and guests, but also the standard of the exhibits and articles for sale have increased considerably. This fact was highly valued by the jury, which, in addition to the three main awards, spoke out three further appreciations. Primarily, besides many newly established contacts and inspiring dialogues, design was consumed. The demand for yet unseen and purchasable products was tremendous: the exhibition halls on the Georgiring were almost overcrowded with 8600 visitors. For that reason, two more vacant facilities in Leipzig’s city center were revived and integrated into the festival. The service hall of the “Hauptpost” was used as our lecture hall and was very well frequented. The glamorous halls of the Hotel de Pologne were brought back to life with exclusive evening events. The atmosphere was both inimitable and motivating.
